World Update 6 for Microsoft Flight Simulator released yesterday, and in addition to a load of new content, it also brought with it some very important fixes. Let’s jump in and take a look…
Austria, Switzerland and Germany are the countries that received a significant overhaul this time around. This means there’s a lot of improvements throughout these regions. As a perfects example, you can see from this brand-new Discovery Flight, the Alps now look seriously impressive.

Fix for Gaming Services Loop
Launch powershell as an administrator and enter “get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”
In the same powershell window, enter “start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”
Install the app on that page, including accepting the UAC prompt when shown.
Try launching the game again. Re-install the game if necessary.

Microsoft Flight Simulator – Graphics Fixes Incoming, World Update 6 Delayed, OrbX Announce Alaska
World Update 6 for Microsoft Flight Simulator has been delayed to 7 September. In addition of overhauling Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the update will bring a number of fixes, including the ability to cache graphical data on PC Ultra settings to prevent pop-in and out. Meanwhile OrbX announce a new terrain mesh for Alaska.
